The youth’s role in documenting food systems in Vietnam through Participatory Video
A research initiative from CGIAR explored the diversity of food environments in three countries, including Vietnam. The research involved 54 adolescents, who documented how diverse their food environments are through participatory video.
The process involved two stages. The first stage has four steps: [1] introduction to the study and concept of food environment, [2] training on video production and storyboard creation, [3] filming, and [4] video creation and editing. The second stage involves co-designing of food environment interventions with local stakeholders.
The videos produced by the youth participants can be viewed here.
