ComDev Asia presents Communication Campaign Packages for Resilient Family Farming in Asia Pacific
ComDev Asia (CDA) has successfully presented the communication and multimedia information packages for resilient family farming during a live webinar last Oct. 8. The webinar was attended by CDA steering committee members, FAO communication officers, farmers’ organizations, and community radio stations in the Asia Pacific region.
The presentation of the communication packages is part of the UN Decade of Family Farming (UNDFF) campaign for Asia that highlights the role of family farming in achieving food security and sustainable development, especially in this time of COVID-19 pandemic.
The campaign is addressed both at the general public, as well as to family farmers and develops two sets of campaign materials covering six themes on resilient family farming: 1) Economics and Food Systems; 2) Biodiversity, Environment, and Culture; 3) Gender and Youth; 4) Nutrition and Health; 5) Sanitation and Safety; and 6) Policies, Services, and Organization.
