
Addressing climate change through Community Radio in Nepal
AMARC Asia-Pacific produced a video lecture featuring Dr. Binaya Raj Shivakoti of the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES). Dr. Shivakoti discussed the challenges broadcasters face in communicating complex topics such as climate change. He also highlighted the important role of community radio in bridging local communities with national and international climate policies, sharing local adaptation practices, and providing timely information such as weather forecasts and early warning alerts. AMARC Asia-Pacific is a steering committee member of ComDev Asia.
