State of food and agriculture, family famers as top agenda in APRC37

The FAO Regional Office in Asia and the Pacific is set to convene the 37th session Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific (APRC) in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 19-22 February 2024. This high-level ministerial event aims to discuss the current state of food and agriculture; agrifood systems transformations; and solutions to assist smallholders and family farmers in the region.  Prior to the conference, a Senior Officers Meeting (SOM) will be held virtually  31 January to 2 February 2024. #APRC37 marks a major international, multilateral milestone in an effort to reform agrifood systems across the Asia-Pacific region, after years of pandemic, climate emergencies, volatile markets and economies that have negatively affected millions of producers, farmers, fishers, pastoralists and consumers.
