NAMAC, a member of the Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA), took the lead in this initiative that seek support from donors, private sector, and development agencies by purchasing face mask made by their members. Proceeds will be used to aid family farmers whose livelihood were heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Food Hero campaign is an initiative of the Asia-Pacific Farmers’ Program to “recognize the efforts of family farmers and in turn uplifting their confidence as they carry out the work of producing food amidst the risk of this global health crisis.”
