AMARC Asia-Pacific, FAO to initate community radio campaign on Family Farming
AMARC Asia-Pacific has initiated a regional campaign on Family Farming. It is the third
consecutive campaign, a collaboration between AMARC -AP and FAO, within the
framework of ComDev Asia. Running from April 26-October 26, 2023, this campaign
aims to shed light on the critical role of family farming in our region.
Partnering organizations, including the Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal
(FECOFUN) from Nepal, Coast Foundation from Bangladesh, Sewa from India, Aliansi
Petani Indonesia (API) from Indonesia, Kastom Garden from Solomon Island, and
Pambansang Katipunan ng mga Samahan sa Kanayunan (CARET/PKSK) from the
Philippines, will actively participate in impact assessments and provide invaluable insights
for shaping relevant campaign content.
Aligned with the United Nations Decade of Family Farming 2019-2028, this phase of the
campaign focuses on enhancing awareness about the progress of the UNDFF through the
National Action Plans and policy dialogues in Asia and Pacific countries. Building on the
momentum from the previous radio campaigns, our objective is to further amplify the
significance of family farming.
Together, let’s nurture our roots through family farming!
