womenradio_nepalThe World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) Asia Pacific will be conducting a workshop for developing the capacity of women community radio broadcasters in South Asia on November 19-22, 2012 in New Delhi, India. About 100 women broadcasters from South Asia are expected to attend the training.

The workshop aims to (1) broaden understanding and to enhance knowledge about issues related to climate change adaptation and poverty eradication and (2) to discuss and learn how information and knowledge based on international and national discussions can used by broadcasters in a way that is relevant, useful, and applicable at local levels. It will also train participants in various areas in radio program production, particularly in researching, interviewing, scriptwriting, and computer based production.
