The Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA), Intercontinental Network of Organic Farmers’ Organisations (INOFO), Pacific Island Farmers Organisation Network (PIFON), and World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) is inviting all interested parties to participate in a virtual event entitled, Farmers and Fishers Solutions: Independent Dialogue Series in Asia-Pacific Region, on 7-11 June, 2021.
This 5-day online event aims to inform and educate the participants about the issues and challenges of the food system as well as discuss and put forward possible solutions to address these issues. The event will also serve as venue to hear the voices of small, family farmers and the marginalized and to amplify their call for a pro-farmer, pro-people and pro-planet solutions to the Food Systems Summit.
The Food Systems Summit is set on September 2021 where new actions to achieved the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including a healthier, more sustainable, and equitable food systems.
